XDEFI Community Proposals
What is an XDEFI Community Proposal?
- $XDEFI token holders have the opportunity for their voices to be heard by submitting an XDEFI Community Proposal (a “Proposal”) on the “XDEFI Wallet Governance Platform” for the XDEFI Wallet Community to vote on.
- The “XDEFI Wallet Governance Platform” is available on snapshot at the following URL: https://snapshot.org/#/xdefigovernance.eth
- Alternatively, you can access the “XDEFI Wallet Governance Platform” by going to the snapshot homepage and then searching for XDEFI Wallet in the search feature towards the top of the page:
- All Proposals need to be in the form of our “XDEFI Community Proposal Template”.
- A minimum of 1,000,000 $XDEFI ERC-20 tokens is required to submit a Proposal. (Note: if you do not have enough $XDEFI to submit a Proposal you can still post your suggestion on the “your-ideas” channel on our Discord).
- All Proposals need to be approved by (i) the XDEFI Wallet Community and (ii) the XDEFI Wallet Team (which includes the developers who will need to find an efficient way to action and implement any successful Proposals).
XDEFI Community Proposal Parameters
- A Proposal must satisfy certain criteria in order for the Proposal to be successfully passed by the Community.
- This includes:
Important!
- XDEFI Wallet will reject any Proposal that may in any way appear to (i) be illegal, (ii) violate any applicable laws and regulations, (iii) cause harm to the XDEFI Community or others or (iv) relate to any potential market or price manipulation.
- XDEFI Wallet will not allow anyone to try to gain an unfair advantage by using multiple accounts to vote. The amount of $XDEFI held in your wallet determines the number of votes that you have and moving your $XDEFI tokens before the end of the voting period will affect your voting power.
- XDEFI Wallet reserves the right to reject any Proposal and will have the final decision as to whether, when and how to implement any Proposal.
- XDEFI Wallet reserves the right to change the terms of the XDEFI Wallet Governance Platform at any time.
How to vote on a Community Proposal
XDEFI Wallet Governance – voting rules
- $XDEFI token holders are able to vote on Proposals that are created by the XDEFI Community on the XDEFI Wallet Governance Portal.
- The amount of $XDEFI tokens that you hold in your wallet will determine the weight of your vote. So make sure you have some $XDEFI if you want to participate!
- 1 $XDEFI = 1 vote.
- You will be entitled to 1 vote for every $XDEFI that is in your wallet, including unstaked $XDEFI tokens and also staked $XDEFI tokens which have generated a position in vXDEFI tokens
- Voting is free, there are no fees. The portal only takes a snapshot of your ERC-20 address once you cast a vote.
- Once you have voted, your funds remain in your wallet and can still be used for transactions.
- However, transferring your $XDEFI tokens out of your wallet before the end of the voting period will affect your voting power.
Voting only via the XDEFI Wallet Governance Portal
Please note that voting can only be done via the XDEFI Wallet Governance Portal, which is only available on Snapshot.
