Crypto wallets like XDEFI Wallet keep your private keys (the passwords that give you access to your cryptocurrencies) safe and accessible, allowing you to send and receive cryptocurrencies. It is similar to a bank account, but the main difference is it is controlled by a key that only you control.
Account
An account is a subsection of wallets that allows you to separate funds based on your needs for more security. You can manage multiple additional accounts in each wallet, each having its own deposit addresses and balances. Accounts are tied to the primary key in which they are created. The recovery phrase backup of your primary key unlocks access to all accounts inside that wallet. If you lose access to your wallet, you lose access to all accounts inside the wallet.
